At Focus Care Psychiatry, we recognize that there are not enough therapy providers in the Las Vegas Valley and so will return to the model where a prescriber addresses both medication needs as well as evidence based-therapies, as needed, in every encounter.

Dr. Tim
Director of Psychiatry
An Army Veteran having served 14 years between active duty and the Nevada Army National Guard, including a deployment to Bosnia in 1996 which inspired him to become a nurse. He has worked in Orthopedics, the Emergency Room, the Intensive Care Unit, Behavioral Health Nursing, and Community Care Management. His treatment views harken back to an age where Psychiatrists, not only prescribed medications, but also provided therapy treatments. He believes that returning to these roots of behavioral healthcare will greatly benefit patients and end the cycle of endlessly going to therapy with limited benefits. He also believes that medications without therapy is a bridge to nowhere; we should not provide symptom relief without addressing underlying cause.
